EVduty App Update (October 2017)

EVduty app

EVduty App Update:
– Better flow
– Improved error messaging
– Improved connector selection interface
– Credit Card reset

The EVduty mobile application will be updated (early October) : Learn here of the main improvements within the application and of a change to your profile resulting from this upcoming update.

WHY UPDATE THE APP?

Here at Elmec, we are continually looking to improve and evolve both the EVduty charging network and its application. Our research and development teams are constantly working towards the goal of facilitating and enhancing the user’s experience while resolving minor glitches, which are unfortunately part of this technological world in which we all are evolving.

WHAT IS GOING TO CHANGE?

Without going into all details, here are the main improvements offered by this update:

Better Flow

First of all, users might notice that the application will operate in a more fluid manner, with faster reaction times, especially with Android models.

Improved error messaging

Different messages will be added in order to better inform users when an error occurs and hinders the optimal functioning of the application. As we’ve improved the application, errors have become a rare occurrence; however more precise error messaging will provide for a better user experience.

Improved interface for connector choices

Interface for selection of connector type will be made more user-friendly with the introduction of new images for CHAdeMO and Combo (CCS) options.

REGISTERED CREDIT CARDS

It is important to note that the update will result in the suppression of all credit card information registered in user’s accounts. Though inconvenient, users will have to re-enter credit card information (in the menu, choose “Balance”, then “Manage cards”). We thank you in advance for your understanding. Please note that account balance will NOT be altered by this update. We also point out that data suppression will be done in a complete, safe and confidential manner. NO residual data will remain after the operation, either on our servers or on the transactional platform’s servers (Stripe), therefore, no leaks are possible.
